A Call to Service. . .

As a disciple of Christ we are called to give those things important to Christ the highest priority in our life.  Spending time with the poor, the sick, the hurting and the outcast; loving and training our children and teenagers in the ways of Christ; welcoming guests, and worshiping God.  These are the things Christ spent time doing, and we are called to follow in his footsteps - to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world today.

During this Lenten season, we are given the opportunity to learn about the many opportunities before us to BE the church - to serve Christ by serving others. Then on Palm Sunday, as we move toward the cross, we will be given the opportunity to commit our service to God.

Pat Ralls has experienced Christ's transformation in her life through serving as a small group leader and tutor at an elementary school.

Brenda Duncan, through her experience as a
blood donor, has seen God at work.

SERVING OPPORTUNITIES CATALOG
Available in the Narthex and Chapel area, pick up a
catalog showing the many opportunities for you to serve Christ through this congregation, both inside the walls of BUMC, and beyond the walls to the community, the nation, and the world. Look through the catalog, and prayerfully consider where Christ is calling you to use your gifts and skills in service to Him.

SERVING COMMITMENT Bring your completed Service Commitment Card located in the back of the Serving Opportunities Catalog to worship any Sunday and drop it in the offering plate, or mail it to the church.  Someone will contact you to connect you to your serving choice.
