- FEMA - If you or someone you know has been affected by the flood, you may be eligible for federal assistance. To register, call the toll free number 1-800-621-FEMA. Speech/hearing impaired can use the TTY number 1-800-462-7585 or register @ www.disasterassistance.gov.
FEMA Relief Centers are open in 2 locations:
100 Oaks Mall in Berry Hill
Centerville Community Church of Christ on North Central Ave.
They will be open 7 day a week from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
- Storage for flood victims - If you or someone you know needs a clean, dry place to store furniture or belongings, StorPlace Self Storage is offering flood victims one month’s free rental at any of their 10 Middle TN locations. To find a location near you, visit their website at www.StorPlaceSelfStorage.com.
- United Way of Williamson County - Is hosting a “Day of Action for Flood Recovery” on Monday, June 21st from 10am to 7pm at the Cool Springs Galleria Mall Center Court. This event is set up to provide additional resources for residents impacted by the flood. Representatives from the following agencies will be in attendance FEMA, Small Business Administration, TEMA, Graceworks Ministries, Second Harvest and many more.
RESPONSE TEAMS
We are working quickly to put together teams to respond in a variety of ways, including;
- Pulling carpet
- Moving furniture
- Clearing debris
- Tree trimming
If you are able to help on a response team or available to coordinate a team, please let us know by contacting mbknighten@bumc.net or call 324-8211 or 324-7222.
Please DO NOT bring this equipment to the church. We will keep a list of what is available and notify you when or if it is needed.

- Hands On Nashville is a non-profit organization currently seeking volunteers to help with disaster relief in the Tennessee area. One of the headquarters is located at Antioch UMC in the heart of where the devastation took place. Please, register online @ handsonnashville.com to become a volunteer. If you have a group of individuals that wish to volunteer as a team each person needs to register separately. Then choose the same event to volunteer as a team.
