Nexus Chamber Orchestra
Catherine Umstead, one of the group’s founders, explains, “The Nexus Chamber Orchestra is comprised of a group of studio players, all with classical music backgrounds and graduates of the most prestigious music schools in the country. While our ‘day jobs’ include recording with the likes of Kid Rock, Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, just to name a few, we are looking for an outlet to bring high quality music to Williamson County.
The group is mainly a small string ensemble, comprised of about 15 people playing violin, viola, cello, and double bass. Part of our mission statement is to feature a piece by a local composer on every concert.”
