“Once you were alienated from God and you were enemies with him in your minds, which was shown by your evil actions. But now he has reconciled you by his physical body through death, to present you before God as a people who are holy, faultless, and without blame. But you need to remain well established and rooted in faith and not shift away from the hope given in the good news that you heard.” ~ Colossians 1:21-23
Everybody’s life tells a story. Every one of our stories has chapters of conflict, frustration, and even pain. But when we let God write our story, our stories also have the opportunity for resolution, redemption, and beauty. As we grow in our faith, we must allow God to be the author of our story; of our IDENTITY. As we let God write our story, we start to see the depth of transformation at our very core. The Holy Spirit transforms us at the deepest level of our being and changes our identity. We move from sinner to saint. We are forgiven. We become free from the powers of sin and death! If we begin to see our story enfolded into the story of God, then we will experience life, beauty, purpose, joy, and the beginning of healing as the LORD transforms and redeems us. We hope, pray for and believe that the Holy Spirit will overwhelm us as our identities are formed in Christ.
