Disaster Response

We continue to remember and pray for our neighbors affected by the March 3, 2019, tornado that hit Alabama, Georgia, and Florida causing destruction and claiming 23 lives in Lee County, Alabama. BUMC's disaster response strategy includes three areas in which to minister:

  1. PRAY – Pray for all who are being affected by the storms and the first responders who work to bring relief and recovery
  2. CARE – If you have a loved one affected by the storms and need pastoral care for yourself or prayers for your loved ones, contact Rev. David Ssebulime at .
  3. GIVE – Donate as you are able to the BUMC Disaster Response Fund, which goes to partners such as UMCOR and other local partners who provide critical care and rehabilitation for individuals and families affected by disasters.
