I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Psalm 139:14

Blessed By God

In our faith, Baptism is a Holy Sacrament that is an outward sign of an inward promise and calling that God has on our lives.  We believe that as parents and the church family, we are called to baptize our children into our faith, as both a promise to raise them in our faith tradition to acknowledge that they are marked as a child by God. Baptism can be done at any age, and does not stand alone, but is the beginning of a life-long faith journey.

Baptism Gifts- Infants

When an infant is baptized at BUMC, we celebrate with the family by presenting them with a cradle cross and devotional book for parents. We encourage families to remember a celebrate a child's baptism date as they grow older, as a part of their faith story.
